Dynamic microphone, hyper cardio, low sensitivity, very linear (for dynamic).

Not for the voice (sound manipulation, plosives etc..).
Peculiar catch his (with noise enough) because linear.

In fact, a disguised Beyer M201 (with some nuances apparently).

And as you've probably read elsewhere, it is really excellent on snare.
Really.
But it also works really well on other instruments. Try it!

Update:
My drum kit (rock) that fired up:
The Revox is on the CC course (sometimes one above and one below ;-))
Audix D6 GC, D4 Tom Low, D2 tom (s), Charley VX5 Audix, Neumann KM184 on overheads. Nothing to throw away!

OVERALL OPINION

For how long have you been using it?
Not often, but it is mine since '87. And I already used it before (since '80) in fact.

Did you try many other models before getting this one?
Other models? Ooh there! Uh ...
In order: Shure (SM57, 58,87,81 ,..., 565, Beta 57,58,87,91,98) Sennheiser (MD421, 21, 441, 431, E609, E906), AKG (D12, D112, D330, C3000, C214, ...) Beyer (M88, M500), Neumann (KMS105, TLM103, KM184), AT (?)
DPA (4060, 4061, 4099), Crown CM-700, Audix (D2, D4, D6, VX5)

But before ', no: it was the mic of my father: the first I've actually used.

Feature:
Good sound. Ceryains unique instruments (a dynamic poru). Good resistance to Al saturation.
= Insensitive for use with a preamp if TB weak signal.

Q / Price? Ben at this price (0!) Is not the game
But, FYI, I have to buy one!
