It's plastic, and the basic case is a little too légé for my taste.
Side configuration software provided fairly simple to understand is used.
I'm not much used, but no bug or electronic problem at the moment.
Handy controller in conjunction with a controller to mix trigger loops or samples, it is his business. In Traktor, it is in the options are added hardware and configure the keys.
I had an Akai MPD26 and Korg Kontrol, the LPD8 enough to start having fun. And if you only want to manipulate the samples for Ableton live on as it is advisable to start with an Akai MPD24 controller type.
