Oval Sound is a new company which first product is an electronic Hang that can control sounds on the iPad.
Details of this new instrument were not communicated, but Oval Sound says that it can be used as an open hardware music controller. Oval works with a app on the iPad and can play different sounds and programs live or for music learning purpose. So it is not restricted to an electronic Hang instrument.
Oval Sound add that they wish to create an online community of musicians around the instrument, who could share their creations and sound banks, discover exercises and more.
Oval is introduced this weekend at the Sonar Festival in Barcelona, Spain and you can follow the evolution of the instrument by registrering at ovalsound.com.
