Mackie announces a partnership with New Japan Radio Corporation to develop a new op-amp for Mackie mixers.
The new M-80 op-amp is designed to offer channel separation. Implementation into the existing Onyx, VLZ3 and ProFX series mixers is currently in progress.
The M-80 op-amp is described as an improved version of the NJM4580, utilizing technology derived from NJR’s “MUSES” series sound op-amps. The M-80 op-amp also features the Mackie “Running Man” logo.
The new M-80 op-amp will be on display during NAMM in Mackie’s upstairs showroom in Demo Room 209A/B from January 19–22, 2012 in Anaheim, CA.
