The latest version of Saffire MixControl, the software mixer environment included with all Focusrite Saffire PRO audio interfaces and the Liquid Saffire 56, is now available.
New features for Saffire MixControl v2.0 include 64-bit Snow Leopard and full Windows 7 drivers. In order to add 64-bit support for Snow Leopard, Saffire MixControl v2.0 and all subsequent releases will no longer support Mac OS v10.4. However, Mac OS v10.4 users will still be able to use Saffire MixControl v1.8.
Also, Windows PC users will benefit from additional buffer steps, allowing them to have more control of the ASIO audio buffer size and, therefore, the option to optimise their system for the task in hand, whether they’re tracking or mixing, the company says.
