Value For Money :
Excellent
A-scratch "made in Korea", as specified behind the head as "beast"
-Bolt, 24 frets, ebony fingerboard
BC Rich Micro-double in a double bridge and simple format (hotrail) to handle. The microphones respond to the standards of BC Rich BDSM, ie that are matched to have a balance in their sound (and it puts the woodchuck the chocolate bar in the foil) ... It's more an argument marketting than anything else, but the pickups are not bad (see part sounds)
Floyd-no, but a tailpiece transverse.
A three-position selector, a master tone and master volume.
-The handle is "fast", thin, flat, like ibanez.
NATO-body, (it is a wooden ring, not as Agathis, even if not as classy as the mahogany)
I think the good points: the tailpiece transverse the handle end, 24 cases and ebony fingerboard.
The rest is classic, I put a 7 (I recall that the average is 5, 7 is not bad, but not excellent). Mics and mechanical qualities of "normal", ie suitable for use in Sunday's guitarist.
UTILIZATION
Here, we attack the strong points:
The neck is super-nice to the touch, it glides well. If you love the ibanez neck type, one is at home in two seconds. The ebony fingerboard gives a comfortable game for sure.
-Access to acute is simple, the shape of the guitar can go without worry, and the construction of the handle screw gene does not really, unless you want to do tricks on the 23 and 24iemme boxes. In summary, extremely simple access to the box 22.
-The ergonomics are good for a guitar in strange forms, you can play sitting down, the strap holds well when standing, it is light. Problemme small plates, the handle seems a bit heavy, but it does not sting the nose if you loose the handle must not exaggerate.
-As far as sound is a guitar "metal", or hard rock, so the sound volume and tone it thoroughly to make him spit out what she has in the stomach. If for some reason you want to have a more purpose, the tone is effective (the volume is less progerssif) and you can play while having a "credible".
I put 8, access to acute is perfect for most occasions, the handle is great and the body is even practical form.
SOUNDS
I play metal (thrash death, polyrhythmic, ambient), I am granted a fourth below the normal (if so) with a gap between the strings respected (from high to low: si-sol/bémol-ré -la-mi-si). I need to have sounds that are huge distortion and clean sounds or crunch worthy of the name for atmospheric passages (like those of the group Textures, and Opeth).
The guiatare sounds great unplugged balanced, even if the bass stand out ... them hereunder out all frequencies ... and it vibrates and purrs against our setomac, we feel it vibrate "good", it's a well made guitar what!
I am very happy with the clean sounds that are apparent, with acute and slamming bass that float, that purr. The neck pickup is excellent, coupled with that of the bridge, there's enough for a jazzy, funky, or if you open the tone at the bottom. The neck pickup alone has a nice grain, like the EMG 60, giving clean sounds like Metallica (clear, warm, well rounded). Bleuffant really on that side.
For Distos is more complicated. Attractive at first abbords the Virgo shows its limits fairly quickly. Let me explain: BC Rich microphones are dug in the midrange and aggressive, with a large output level ... In standart tuning it sounds good in almost all situations (not be too manic anyway, right). For if it sounds against in hell for rithmiques palm mute in a single string, or power chords, but the definition is not there, if you try arpeggios agreements or real distortion: it includes much more .. Nag too much for my taste.
Good versatility for a guitar "metal", with real clean sounds .. but a bridge pickup a little too cut for extreme metal, not quite define. A guitar that looks as aggressive does better in its clear that distortion is a bit of shame ... Then wham! A 6!
Edict of 10/01/08: I switched to EMG pickups (81 bridge and the SA to the handle) that there are 6 months, it sounds much better. The clean sounds are warm and round with SA alone, and it quickly crunch mixed position. The distortion is enormous, precise and defined. Wow! As a note of the sound would be 8.5 against a 10 for one to explore ESP Hetfield.
OVERALL OPINION
it'll be six months it is home.
I like its look (BC Rich is primarily why they sell guitars), manufacturing serious, good quality / price ratio, a true guitar paid € 412 ... A € 530 (average price recorded) there are better in quality ... but it is less fun to have a copy of a Les Paul virgo. The report Fun / price is excellent here.
I like clean sounds, the sounds are so so distos (Si, because it goes much better Mi) ... So I changed the pickups, so for about 150 € 412 + mic, it's a real guitar at € 560. I can not find it useful to change the mechanical, even if they are not "pro".
I would do this choice, I buy another if I stole the example is a real guitar, and a real pleasure! And it's selling EMG pickups, Dimarzio or Duncan! (Or more!)
