Made In China but a flawless finish!

This is not a model "signature", only a model "Inspired by Kerry King!" Hence its name: "KK BEAST V"

Specifications:

Neck through maple neck, Ebony fretboard, 24 jumbo frets (medium size);

Mahogany body;

2 x BC Rich ® humbuckers BCRA active X 2;

Kahler Tremolo X'trem Hybrid 4300 series;

2 volume, 1 tone control and one 3-way toggle switch.

UTILIZATION

A mouth but incredible mash beautiful she is!
Disconcerting at first when we keep it at the shoulder, which is not used, it's weird to play something other than Metal very big and heavy. But finally we made it and lots of very positive reasons!

Channel / Corp:

Vibrato:

Equipped with a vibrato KHALER unresolved, it required an adjustment in the spacing of the strings and especially the height (not difficult!) To play well and comfortable.
It provides role perfectly but always used Floyd Rose, I find them much more flexible than the KHALER. But hey! Matter of habit can be! ?

The addition 23/05/11: I turned the vibrato arm! Indeed, as also read, there's a really painful back problem! Wishing to use this guitar exclusively for rhythm, he ultimately serves little purpose. The problem is solved!

Mics:

2 BC Rich Active Humbukers I find not bad at all compared to EMG.

Having been disappointed by the sound of EMG (active) LTD MH400 tried on a TELECASTER Jim ROOTS and HAMER CALIFORNIAN II, I think the mics BEAST V NT satisfactory with its round and warm enough that I prefer the coldness (perceived) EMG.

On my old Marshall LEAD 150, I understand the interest of "active" on "passive"! It throws a max at the first time! )

Its a really nice, clean and powerful!

A modeling amp (PEAVEY VYPYR or LINE 6), it is the opposite, I find the look much better with the "passive"!

The usage is clearly oriented metal, but clean, with the EQ setting, you can do what you want and distortion too!

Note the addition 8.12.12 for novices: microphones "active" with an output level much higher than the "passive", it is not necessary to mount the knob up to get the maximum. 1 to 3 is perfect, it describes, above it begins to boil porridge to finish! !

OVERALL OPINION

So incredible guitar which, despite its look very distinctive, is much more versatile and comfortable it would have us believe! )

It is a monster, a beast in the powerful sound! Beautiful but also very attractive that can do everything!

In its usual price of around 650 euros to, I would never have bought it, I would have immediately turned to the LTD M300 cheaper, better equipped and more conventional lines. But at 285 euros and considering its features I did not hesitate for long!

Having saved some money, I wanted to buy a guitar, not too expensive to have something more to carry around. He missed!

Have not found my happiness resellers corner, I flaps on the internet and there, I came across a promo offer most models BC RICH at bargain prices! Possessing already gives me satisfaction, and after selecting 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 etc ... interested in the Construction Set-Thru Neck and possibly active pickups, but not interested in models "signature", I decided for this BEAST!)

I since 02/02/11 and I am more satisfied.

However, when one is not accustomed to its line (head and body), it disconcerting at first (it's still a big scratch), to the point that I thought the return (in addition to the new ropes and unregulated vibrato did not intervene in his favor ).
But after adjusting the string height and those çi starting to do more I use it the more I realize its many strengths that I do not certainly find on other models at the price I paid! An incredible bargain!
And mashed potatoes! ! ! She is beautiful! ! Fascinating ... !

To know if I would do this choice at this price point without a doubt! (But I still rather low for Strato forms).
But for sure, return to something other than set neck or crossing there, I do not think, even buy a super low end like Harley Benton HBS300TBL which is said still good .. !
