All user reviews for the Di Pinto Mach IV

Some explanations first. Di Pinto is a trademark of Philadelphia, founded in 1955 by two brothers who had a repair shop vintage guitars. one of the two began making his own guitars, and then they switched to a more industrial production. Aujorud'hui, most of the range is manufactured in Asia, in Korea I believe, "U.S. specifications," as they say.
The Mach IV is a model Mosrite Mark 1 style (that of Joe Ramones), it takes many specificities, whose shape.

22 frets, a single neck pickup, a "double single" Humbucker in bridge, both produced in the U.S. under their brand.

The Violin is very clean, devastating look, especially with the red glitter and varnish the most beautiful effect (I admit to love). the pickguard, the head (it is not seen in the picture) and inlaid handle (star-shaped-magic!) are sequined. this gives a pearl indeed pretty.
I would put 9 because I think it's crazy to 10 (perfection is not of this world) but I do not have much to complain about.

UTILIZATION

As for sound, it's that things get complicated: one connects and immediately, it's huge! But in the true sense: the pickups have an output level quite incredible, it spits out altogether. The tone volume control for both pickups are simplicity itself.
after, must love the sound it out because this guitar is anything but flexible.

SOUNDS

The least we can say is that this guitar is very strongly featured. Those of you who have played a Mosrite Marck I compredrons exactly what I mean it sounds big and a bit "dirty". immediately, we get a very marked his garage.
Therefore, to love! There are acute slamming, powerful bass and well defined mids (although it could be better), but it all sounds a bit "dirty". and that's what is great. Almost as if she had naturally crunch. It is immediately in the register of White Stripe early albums (Jack White is one, but as part of other guitars), the Sonics, Golden Man astroman ... a little side surfing too ...
I use a Fender Hot Rod, Rat with a more serious and it works. but I get to try it on a marshall lamp 100 and it was even more terrible.
Sounds hard to say that I prefer or dislike. In acute, and they slap tear in serious, it's a plane! (I prefer to acute neck pickup) but it's very personal. it is a little on sounds telecaster for aggression, but with the side garage plus (or "crystalline" and less ...).
The only downside is a lack of precision in the rhythmic mediums, some tend to get a bit messy.

OVERALL OPINION

I have over 6 months, and love. For a while, I completely let my TV and I n'utilsais aside more than this.
I love her look very much rock and foil (for my taste) and his monumental. This is a guitar that has the dog, much to look at as listen.
but obviously it can not suit everyone or every style. it is perfect for what it does, rock, punk-rock or garage. otherwise have to take something else. I tried many guitars before (and I continue), but I did not buy by making comparisons: it was a favorite pure and simple. In fact, I find it perfect in the second (third, fourth?) Guitar. If it is plugged in some hard rock, it's a skyscraper to have, or at least try.
the - value is in my opinion very good, especially since these guitars (the Di Pintos) are frankly underestimated. Luter is the nickel, the same as mechanical and micro over-powerful, for a very affordable rate. they are announced in 980 euros, but I paid 700 euros new. So I will buy this without hesitation (except perhaps for a real Mosrite but now must get out more than 2000 euros ...)
