Made in Japan. I think this makes 30 years that are no longer manufactured gretsch to USD.
22 frets, 2 single coil pickups Dynasonic _ a 3-position selector (a single tone for 2, against three volumes: one for each + 1 general) Bigsby Vibrato small amplitude because of the pickguard but even by pulling it into the tuning without worries.
Mahogany neck, not too large, rather round ... a real pleasure for all who try.
Guitar hollow, lightweight, flawless finish ', happiness and personality

UTILIZATION

I have small hands but I have no concerns with the handle. on the other hand, if you want to play above the 20th fret on the low strings, a little yoga session is required.

Sounds: Compared with guitars "standard" attack made the difference. It responds immediately, slamming it's pretty, pretty "percussive" without disturbing frequency.
1) Neck pickup is superb, the volume level is very strong - I do not say that it is a guarantee of quality - but it has a lot of micro serious, the higher up the boxes more he sings. Arpeggios sound is defined as I never have noticed on another guitar. In rock'n'roll rock according to Manu Chao and Mano Solo ... there's no better: it's round, full, never boiled. You play Jazz? Round is a serious and cons to ultra précis.Par rhythmic metal that does not, it's hollow it distorts it.
2) Bridge pickup: I do not ever used. It has very high medium not fun, then of course, it distorts more than the other but for that I prefer any other of my guitars! The walkthrough: I sent an email to Jones.com TV and just released most of their microphones Dynasonic format. Personally I chose the fattest
"The Powertron Plus" and look the arrival of my order format called "Dynatron"
3) split is even more slamming but it lacks body. If you are bars Funk you have fun.
I put a mixed note: 10/10 for the stick and 3 / 10 to the bridge => 7 / 10

SOUNDS

No! I play heavy blues rock with a tendency to begin with. But since I have a Gretsch I venture into other areas which is nice. As I said I ordered a pickup more suited to my style.
I play on Marshall but also from home VOX Valvetronix (amp emulation). Those who have tried this series from 50 watts know this amp has amazing versatility and following the guitar is used, it will never play the same amp emulation. I have a custom lag (DiMarzio Tone Zone and PAF Pro) a Blade (Sounds typed Start + piezo) and some gear that I will not. But the gretsch is the exception and that we love you jealous for all its differences

OVERALL OPINION

1 year, it's been almost a year since I dropped my other beads for the Gretsch. I am a junk I admit but what do you: When you have a soul full of noble character who knows the dog banter, growl, howl, which is disorder that takes you where it wants, you poor little musician you want more
The pros: light weight, the look, finish and the difference
the -: bridge pickup
J'l'avais not even tried! it was an auction for new states and I got it to 60% reduction (véridique! good it took me to pay customs fees upon receipt € 210! it made me € 1190 to the total, but do I seem to regret it?)
quality / price: € 2500 y'en unacceptable living well! As they come out against in the Gretsch Electromatic hollowbody to € 700 while there I said, "put your mouse and will try it if you do not fear" that should be cool and twaaaangy after you sleep worse and worse.
you do again this choice? ... Yeah
