I should mention that my model was slightly modified by a luthier:
- Poteniomètre cts 500k (I think), chrome knobs, rewound and modified microphones (plots), split cancel service.
So she came back for 500 euros with the settings of the price of a mexican strat for a much higher quality.
but I would talk about the guitar before mods made.
- Features:
The Jv 200 differs from the jv 100 by its solid alder body instead of the lime and believe me the difference is great!
The difference is also made by the Wilkinson bridge and 1 humbucker in bridge.
The handle is a pearl, it is one of the best race I've tried with the exeption of one my kramer US.
Basically, flat handle and fine light rather large V but less than an Ibanez Wizard, ideal for any style of music.
Access to 24 cases is facilitated by a chamfer exclusive lag and no mounting plate.
The pickups are alnicos (of quality).
Brief for less than 400 euros, it has an alder body with a single room, a top handle and a mouth of hell!
USE
Initially I introduced myself to my preferred dealer 6 strings bought me a strat mexico Christmas.
Deception: the two fender mexico I tried ringing soulless with garish medium (no better than any Chinese shovel), more up their sleeves seemed to me slow and poorly finished and especially she was not the Fender twang (I have a TV 66 I can not go out for fear of making me fly).
I did not leave empty-handed when the seller pointed me to the Lag. The shape how Brian May did not like it too much (it still does not like it) but as soon as I put the finger on it and especially after the Mexican Strat, I realized the quality of this guitar.
It connects and it sounds vintage!
After use the Wilkinson vibrato allows many fantasies and provides great sustain!
SOUNDS
The grain is really typical Fender 60 but not 70. The serious microphones has a peach of hell, ideal for classic rock.
Sounds out of phase (2 and 4) are slamming and crystalline wish ...
The most interesting is double easel. It can go from a telecaster and more robust sound of a gibson sg by cutting the treble knobs. Amazing ...
Attention distorted sounds, you have to slightly decrease the treble knob otherwise it sounds as fuzzy metal on an amp transtors but on my old Fender twin sounds of hell! 60-70 a vintage sound with the benefit of a modern round!
A very good guitar for blues and rock but for modern metal (who said no soul?) That's not it.
What really surprising is fishing the upper microphones to those of us strat entry
NOTICE GLOBAL
The Lâg Jv 200 was praised by all the magazines and buying guides and before buying, I thought it was to sell a French brand. Well no, the journalists were not lying, this guitar in its niches is much higher than a yamaha pacifica in microphones, and very much higher than a Fender strat mexico. For the price and even twice the price, there is nothing wrong because it "personality," which is not common these days.
Cristalins sounds enthusiasts and distos hoarse, raspy, this guitar is for you!
NB: the customizing, it reveals a incoyable potential. A guitar in my collection.
