This is a guitar manufacturer aus USA, 24 frets, 2 humbuckers Di Marzio Custom Designed specially for crs Petrucci (he's actually a Steve's Special and Air Norton about a few changes ...)
The block bridge / vibrato is new from MusicMan (cr to JP) and is fitted with sensors active piezos to move closer to electro sound ..
Volume and Tone for humbuckers, one volume and three screws for legalization piezos (they are on the back of the instrument)
A slecteur 3 positions at the top of the body to switch from humbuckers to piezos, or the CONTRL 2 at the same time, and another 3 positions is slecteur ddi to DiMarzio.
The handle is in Saddle speckled "bird's eye", screwed to the basswood body of Amrique.
The fingerboard is rosewood and the initials "JP" are on THE FIRST box.
The guitar team of two outputs: one for single piezo, and the other for micro magntiques stro.
UTILIZATION
Time to get srieuses now:
Ds the opening of the tui one is impressed by its majestic appearance (mine possde a sublime finish "Black Sparkle", translation: black straw!)
The grip is not bad either, is the dcoupe trs dfonce ergonomic and comfort for the forearm is very well thought! ..
The handle is unique: in fact it is wide and fairly flat, but pais the handle of a Ibanez Jem example (I dtest ...).. Basically should be more large fingers ( was lucky, as I do! h. h). The action of the strings is perfect, neither too high nor too low, leaving the strings vibrate well while allowing good dplacements of more intonation is perfect and all the notes sound gnialement! It's really high-end rev ..
Namely also: the back of the neck is not varnished, the fast left hand is thereby increased, cool, right?
SOUNDS
As for the sound, wow, what about? In his clear, the position of intermdiaire slecteur is snapping just right, great for funk and blues, beautiful ring fingers to arpges trs well, and the attacks of free m diator. The neck pickup is usable for beautiful phrass jazz, and playing with the knob of tonality can be REALLY crdible more than a standard jazz .. The bridge pickup sounds shrill in her clear, but that's normal, it is not for the a..
The crunch sounds are cool, but not unusual, roughly, if you plan to get the grain tlcaster in a crunch, you're wrong! But that's all ... even when an honorable
As against its saturated ..... my friends is the fte of the slip! The neck pickup is a velvety poustouflant! It's round, it's hot, while preserving articulation and finesse .... it's all good!
As for the bridge pickup (which is mounted closer to the strings than the neck pickup), and although it's a real fuse! It has a high output and harmonics come out beautifully! It seems to be tailor-made for virtuoso solos, in a word: DEADLY!
The piezos are really impressive about them: with a supper of rverb and delay, we believe it! But must, shuffled the rest of the two sources (piezos & Di Marzio): it is simply amazing ... sound ... rve
OVERALL OPINION
I use this guitar for The beginning of May 2003, she trs CHRE course, but it is REALLY an instrument rve ... However it is worth a try before because it is not just adapt the templates (and all portfolios ...)
In résumé if you like rock muscle and all types of hard / mtal, and that You are not foreigners to other less aggressive styles, try the and see!
