« Super strat »
Published on 07/12/11 at 10:53Music Man seems to be a very consistent company. They continue to produce quality instruments for bass guitar players and 6 string guitar players. They have a reputaion of constructing quality instruments at very low prices. They have a good thing going with their bass line and a some what decent hing with their guitar line. Ceratinly their string are the most popular item.
This guitar is not a bad guitar. It has an alder bod and maple neck which is an excellent combination for superstrats, which this guitar is. The guitar has a good tone and is very versatile. The have two humbucker in the neck and bridge and a single coil in the middle position.

SOUNDS
This guitar isn't going to blow anyone away. It does feel good an has a great tone for any style of music. With the three pickups there isn't much this guitar can't do in the land of tone. However, these guitars never seem to catch on in the market. I guess people won't buy something that they feel a Fender Stratocaster or Surh, CHarvel, or Ibanez can do. So to get people to break away fro their conveniences is going to be a task.
The guitar has a good accurate neck profile which is very comfortable. The neck is easy to play and feels nice as you go along down the frets. That to me is the most important thing..whether or not the neck is comfortable enough to play on for 2 hours. This one meets those requirements.
OVERALL OPINION
You can find these guitar all day long for around $1300. Not a bad price for a high quality build. These guitars are nothing fancy and they don't have gorgeous maple tops but they will be good guitar for those needing a solid gigging guitar. I would recommend this to anyone who need a versatile guitar and is done with Fender or Gibson.
