Gibson B-25

Gibson B25-NPublished on 01/19/04 at 15:00
My mom's brother won a contest at a brand new store in Houston (Evan's Music City). He won some amount of money in the store and gave it to my mom. My mom really wanted a guitar and made a good choice with the Gibson B-25

The reason this guitar is worth every dollar is becuase its easy to play. The neck is the smallest neck I've ever played, it allows you to travle fast. The guitar as a whole is really small, but the sounds it produces are very full.

I like everything about the instrument, except I've been looking for a pick guard that fell off a number of years ago. Other then that there is nothing wrong with this instrument. If you run into one buy it.

There are a lot of scratches where the pick guard should be. Other then that this guitar is very durable and will last forever.

This is the best acoustic guitar I've ever played. Gibson acoustics have such a good sound compared to Martins, I'm a owner of both. This is a great guitar to gig with and also just have laying around the house.

Gibson B - 25

Gibson B25-NPublished on 01/12/03 at 15:00
My mom bought this guitar back in the 70's for about 200 dollars. Since it was small she gave it to me to use as a first guitar (lucky me). As a side note i would like to mention that the little piece of paper that was originally inside the guitar has fallen out so we are not sure as to exactly what model this guitar is. My mom thinks B-25 but it could be another B model.

Now that i've been playing for awhile i notice the quality of this guitar. For its size its got a pretty loud sound, and its tone is sweet also (this is probably helped by the aged wood). The guitar stays in tune extrememly well. I still appreciate its size, especially the neck and its shape. I never could get used to...…

The guitar stays in tune extrememly well. I still appreciate its size, especially the neck and its shape. I never could get used to those bigger accoustics.

I can't think of anything i really dislike that is the fault of the guitar. Its old, its banged up, but it still sounds good.

The things still in one piece after over 30 years despite a lot of (paint) cracks, wear and tear.

Well i guess i should start by saying good luck finding one of these things. I havent seen another one yet but thats just me. Its a great little guitar making it good for a beginner, although there are cheaper guitars that would do just as well. As a vintage gibson the quality is also gonna be pretty good even for more advanced player. I'd give it a 5.

OVERALL OPINION

1400 bought recently, I find it perfect in fact effective.
Nice guitar, I like his manner modest vintage "cherry sunburst" c'tait A model of quality. I can see better than much more expensive. I regret nothing if not n'tre no richer.
