Amp transistor modeling
15 Watts actually available
1 instrument input
Two channels: a clean based on the JC120 brand, 1 channel emulation with adjustable gain for each type.
An "effect section" independently include: reverb, chorus, tremolo, delay, phaser
1 headphone jack
UTILIZATION
Very simple to learn, there is no need the manual ... but just in case, it is clear and provides examples for the sounds "recognizable" in 30 Seconds!
SOUNDS
Contrary to a previous opinion, I find this amp rather homogeneous and effective in all styles.
With a good instrument, the clean channel is super accurate, clear and snapping at will. Arpeggios, casseroles and voicing jazz really stand out from the small hp. My semi-hollow Ibanez and my Fender Start are not distorted by the sound of that channel.
On the other channel is the world of emulation. There is good and less good. Nothing catastrophic as it is reasonable on the gain.Ca drool a little on the heavy saturation in overdrive, but is rather réussi.Il must also adjust the knob to prevent serious effect "cave". Do not forget the original purpose of this amp which is the repetition and the work of the instrument. In this context, it is perfect because it really has a wide range of sounds nice and if you want to go further, we stay on the clean channel and there's distortion favorite branch, the Wah-Wah of the devil ... etc. and here's the really good: good potato assured.
In the same vein, if one branch of a pale copy of Start and you want to play death metal, you are exposed to disappointment!
This also applies to a Mesa Boogie-EUR 4000.
There is always something out of this amp exploitable. I was fine grind, I have not managed to get sounds "disgusting" to vomit as claimed by another user ...
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 6 months, and I can not get enough so it is convenient. This combo is light and always available to send the right sound. Do not just push him into a corner because it is not his vocation.
Its value for money is perfect under the concurrence.Marshall, H and K, Vox, Fender and are no better, only the Line 6 Spider 15 is above in terms of quality but the clean channel emulations of the Roland surpasses.
Here, by plugging a proper scratching you can really have fun with this amp.
I would do this choice because there is no more versatile on the market.
