The t.amp S-150

* For how long have you been using it?

No recoil for an opinion really relevant: I have just received to replace a Behringer A500 down used as amply fi (with 800 as preamp Behringer MINIMON line / headphone selector and sources).

* What thing do you like most/least about it?

Qualities: Silent (no fan), powerful enough for this purpose (under 2x85/150/200W 8/4/2 ohms), seems pretty cool musically directed and do not try to do too much, methinks, memory, more natural than the Behringer A500. The housing and assembly are a reassuring solidity. The handles on the front and back are handy. Trips taken or bare wire Speakon. Entries are jack (balanced or not) or XLR. In addition to the stereo mode, it is switchable bridge (under 1x250/400w 8 / 4 ohm) or parallel (1x320W at 2 ohms). Sensitivity switchable rear (0.770 or 1.4 V). Grounding disconnected.

Defects are: The Black face on photos of Thomann (the vendor and "constructor" of the amp) is gray on my copy (not a fault but to me it could be for a buyer who wants a Black face as advertised). HP catches are more serious on the pictures but on my copy will not accept bare wire or banana too big. Very slight hum (ear glued to the woofer on Behringer B2030P to 89dB/W/m).

* Did you try many other models before getting this one?

quite a hifi amp or current audiophile Class A or AB, mainly transistors, a Behringer A500 studio.

* What is your opinion about the value for the price?

For now .. excellent

* Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...

If I have no bad surprises in terms of reliability, or association with some speakers, yes, all-in-fact.
