Sonarworks debuted at NAMM 2014 where they introduced a new software designed for monitor calibration.
The IK Multimedia ARC system has a new competitor for speaker calibration. Sonarworks is a software for Mac and PC that will measure you speaker sound performance and adjust the sound according to the result, by using digital technology, mathematical tools and psycho-acoustics.
The VST, AU, RTAS and AAX plug-in then allows for listening the calibrated sound thanks to linear-phase FIR filter. The editor adds that processing is done on no more than 16 000 bands.
Sonarworks is available in various versions, depending on wether you already own a measurement microphone or want a standard or HD analysis:
- Standard licence only: 249€
- HD Reference licence only: 599€
- Standard licence + microphone: 339€
- HD Reference licence + microphone: 689€
