Available as a plug-in on Mac OS X and Windows as well as a software (v3 is for currently Mac only, Windows users will receive the update this Spring), Reference allows for calibrating your monitors and room in less than 15 minutes with a measurement microphone.
The software uses a proprietary Acoustic Power Frequency Response technology that measures and analyzes the sound, the mic position being automatically detected by the software during the measurement phase.
The plug-in also include a special filter engine with a choice of linear, mixed and minimum phase settings.
Reference 3 includes the software and two plug-ins and is available for 229 € / $299 or bundles with a measurement microphone for 269 € / $345. You can also download a trial version from sonarworks.com.
