Published on 01/04/13 at 03:08I had my 3 compar jacks "first prizes" that I have since I have beginning guitar there 13 years. These 3 jacks always work even if they have been once or twice a weld retouching.
I do not believe in these gold plated jacks and plug thingy thingy, but I decided to let myself be tempted by one of those famous jack just to see if the legend says true, and above all I am told that my phone jacks 13, it does not hurt me than buying a new one.
It is a dot of circuit breaker that I find very convenient because of a simple click, it avoids unwanted noise by inserting or removing the jack.
J am just use to cut the volume rather than cut the volume knob.
Concretely and I said what I said because I used the same jacks for 13 years.
A significant improvement in the clarity of sound, a slight improvement of the definition, treble restitus better, and that was my sembl equal volume, with the jack planet wave sound was louder.
I had not needed to buy jack but I do not regret my purchase, it is quality, current technology allows better sound transmission, we must recognize it.
Now do not think it's going to dramatically change your sound ..

I find the current jacks very expensive, it cost me 32 euros, I paid my age al jacks between 60 and 80 francs, and they still work.
Certainly the planet wave is slightly better, especially on the clarity not by much but it s meant when using the same gear for a while.
I put 9 because it is not sewn.
I do not do this choice because this jack has interest in me last 3000 years.
