UTILIZATION

easy to use
3 large knobs = very plug-and-play for a multi-purpose!
level desired effect is found quickly
no need for manual

SOUND QUALITY

quality and precision analog = it breathes, it lives, it colors the sound as it should
the guitar is respected
all effects are very correct, the auto-wah is the least successful
The +: the "manual" function freezes the effect desired position, removing any pure sine dynamic variation (as if you left a wah-wah pedal halfway example)
the -: for those who use microphones high output humbucker type = saturate it a bit. It will give the best of it with a strat or telecaster.

OVERALL OPINION

vintage versions are rare to find
But they are worth visiting because they are warmer than the nano Version
a bit of background noise but plunges us the best album of PINK FLOYD
CAUTION! power is specific, it will not work with a transformer or BOSS for Big Muff

if you are lucky enough to find a vintage: go for it!
but it is rare opportunity

I got The Worm at Guitar Gallery of New England and paid 94 dollars for it. I was originally looking for a Wah-Wah pedal but I was having trouble finding one with an extreme enough wah sound. My friend suggested I try The Worm, so I did and it was incredile.

I love the modulated wah especially te fac that if you crank it you can get some crazy sounds, it was just what I was looking for. I have since then discovered that the phaser effect is also very cool, it's one of the best phasers I've ever used. And the tremolo and Vibrato also help make it a slightly better pedal.

I think it is just a little bit to noisy sometimes it can sound like a helicoptor is inside your amp. Also the tremolo and vibrto aren't that hot, they work but if you want those effects buy a different pedal. Also I whish there were numbers or even dots around the dials, so I could remember my settings, but if you take the time to adjust the unit you can get someawesome sounds.

The thing is made out of metal not cheap plastic, it is a tank. I don't think it will ever break.

I love this pedal and highly recomend it, it has brought my playing to the next level.

PDAL makes New York, robust design, unchanged for over thirty years at Electro Harmonix. The case is metal.

The PDAL has the advantage of offering four types of analog modulation (hot sound!)
The Wah mode is excellent, it provides absolutely dessonorits gniales and out of the mix for solos or riffs overheating!
The method reminds the legendary Phaser pedals "Small Stone" of the same manufacturer. Cool!
Tremolo mode is a nice tremolo Vintage
Vibrato mode has a fawn efficiently an amp to sound like the 60s, old Fender or Vox, for example ....

The pedals are nickel sounds of Radiohead, Stereophonics, U2, etc ...

4 pedals in one, with the effects of good quality and sound is a typ 10.

UTILIZATION

VINTAGE respecting its essence, the rglages are-simple, and large knobs allow manipulation of the foot (for scne cool!)

A SETTING THE RPM, a button switch to select between 4 modes, and SETTING THE Range / intensity of the effect.

A modulation switch Manual or Automatic (hint: position on Automatic)

Simple and effective.

SOUND QUALITY

Analog effects bring their share of heat. Do not expect clean cold numrique. Here is the sound from the seventies, a little dirty, but so hot Rock 'n Roll.

There are still some Sufi as the effects of what had at first. So, I went back to the store to try other models. Well, all that trmolos jai test blow as much or more. This is NORMAL!

I play the pedals with a custom tlcaster, a US Stratocaster and a Les Paul, Marshall DSL connects to a 401. No problem, a ring with the three configurations.

I put a 9, because there are better (but three times as much just for a tremolo ...)

OVERALL OPINION

I used a friend's for a few months, then I DCID buy one.

The Wah mode is compelling for its incisive one coming out of the mix and is Vintage wow!
I use the tremolo a lot, which is essential for me.

I tried Boss TR2, Line 6 Tap Tremolo, Dunlop Tremolo, and Voodoo. The WORM seemed most INTERESTED. Several effects of quality on a single pedals for the price of a Boss!
The ratio quality price is excellent. And Electro Harmonix possde an identity sound I love.

I chose the WORM, and I do not regret it!

UTILIZATION

While there are only 3 buttons, 4 for effects, so at ease, it's going!
choosing its effect (wah, phaser, tremolo and vibrato) with a 4-position knob, you set the speed of the effect, the period of oscillations if I may say (ahem) with a sacred amplitude, and adjusted the intensity effect with the last button.

Aunt said that the three buttons are simple but very effective!

SOUND QUALITY

While the sound is somewhat mixed ...
Say that the phaser is cool, pretty special but can go much, but hey the phaser, I know nothing, I find it nice, but I use it a lot.
The tremolo and vibrato sooooooufflent! and the effects tend ehx change the sound of orgine, irrespective of the effect ask. The tremolo, it Tremola well! but it changes the sound a bit, I found in well, so that's good! but it blows ... and group I am ashamed to use it, means that schhhhhhhhhhh, schhhhhhhhhhh, schhhhhhhh ...
The WAH! I love, in fact if I use other effects too, because I have this pseudo wah, so it's really the main function of this pedal for me. And you can actually vary the wah very fast, a large enough amplitudes funny. It also Pregl the intensity of the effect, say between wah that changes not too low the eq sound with more powerful wah sound dull, then wah very shrill, acute, but so WAH! (My favorite!)
Well I put 8, because for me the wah is really cool, but the rest, although very EHX, owns qques small defects, especially the breath. But the sound is good raiment
Oh yes, noted that the enclenchment the pedal slightly increases the sound ...

it's really my wah pedal my funkyfiante in pieces
I had not done proper research before choosing the jumbo's, but I know the quality of EHX effects.
value for money is correct, the EHX is still far superior to their price, if you like the sound of.
With experience, I will buy rather the Q-Tron (not tried it yet, so this is hypothetical) because I trouove wah outperforms the other effects, mainly because of the breath of the tremolo, shame, because the tremolo is very nice otherwise. So a "multi-effects", just to utlise that is a shame ... although other effects make me services from time to time!

UTILIZATION

2 knobs and 2 switches. Rate for the speed of the oscillator, Range for the depth of the effect, Slecteur 4 positions for selecting the effect, and switch auto / manual, which disables the oscillator and can affect "static" (very interresting)

SOUND QUALITY

Each in its field has a grain him, and is discreet but noticeable (this is not the kind of effects that will eat everything).
The vibrato sound trmolo and "old" (yum)
The phaser has something of the Small Stone, even if it is not as versatile.
The wah sounds pretty good for a wah.

I use it with a guitar, between the guitar and the amp.

My prfrs: vibrato, phaser and trmolo. The wah, I use less, but it's not a guarantee of non-quality.
The ct "discrete" has the advantage of its inconvnients: the effect is noticeable, but subtle not rely on any of them out sounds from outer space.

OVERALL OPINION

- How long have you use it?
I use it for some months now.

- What is the particular feature you like best and least?
The most and least is the discrtion. To rev slice effects, should look elsewhere. Vibrato and the sound trmolo trs "old school", the trmolo with a particular grain (the effect is particularly noticeable on frquences bass, treble as little impact by the modulation) .
The possibility to switch to "Manual" allows the trmolo, phaser and wah changed "dramatically" the sound of the guitar. Trs INTERESTED, especially with the trmolo.

- Have you tried many other models before acqurir?
Essay of the pedals, no, but before I used a GX700, with all these effects into it. See anything.

- How do you report qualitprix?

A few prs 100 euros for vintage effects, was worth it. Certainly complter with other pedals if you want more effects "brand"

Certainly.

Ngatifs few points, all the same:
For trmolo, no possibility of having an oscillator "signal carrquot;, which allows" chop "sound. But hey, ...
The trmolo is still a bit noisy.
With a guitar with a high output (such as EPO humbucker), and tends sputter a bit. But a small change of anything can overcome them (see "Tips" from the data sheet)

UTILIZATION

It selects one of four effects by a rotator (a knob with 4 positions) and then configure it according to two parameters: Rate (the speed of the effect of the cycle) and Range (the frequency range over which the effect works) c is very simple but the manual is very poorly designed because it explains only what we already know and not only two points a little obscure: the effect of the Range knob seems a bit strange at first: it does control not the intensity, contrary to what the manual says, but the targeted frequency. Second dark spot: the switch Manual / Auto ... In Auto mode everything is fine but the manual mode turns the pedal fixed filter (no cyclical effect) the Rate knob is not so any more. This mode is useful according wah (to give a color to a solo sound for example) and it has another use more confidential: phaser mode after a distortion he can return to low: the fans of stoner rock, or bass , love (and I am one of two)
Concerning the place in the chain effect, do this before especially not a distortion at the risk of having a monster breath.

EDIT: I just try plugging the exit "dry" on my bass rig. It's funny but relatively useless. Knowing that most of the effects are already quite discreet, no real interest in having a clean sound and more. I got one or two sounds vaguely interesting but rough.

SOUND QUALITY

I use it with a low (Rockbass Corvette, JB type microphones, active) I think is rather unusual.
-The auto-wah is very cool, I use a cycle as long as possible, usually on the lines of notes. Targeting acute (Range in background), after a distortion, it gives a very funky but all buy EHX bassball for it.
The phaser-effect is my favorite, very slow after a distortion (noise from aircraft reacion), very fast (like leslie effect) or medium speed (fairly close to a chorus).
-The tremolo is, of course, really unusable: very noisy when it does not have much effect, and one can almost not the parameter (the obligation to thoroughly range to hear it) ... Too bad, there are still three other effects to exploit
-The vibrato is not super useful, but it's almost the only pedal on the market to propose a ... The sound of Kyuss Asteroid (necessarily so cool)

OVERALL OPINION

I've had two months, I had the opportunity to use it at home, repeating at a concert.
I like the phaser and generally sound 70's. However I am disappointed by the tremolo but it's not very serious.
A 112E for 4 analos effects (say, 3 usable) is really a matter ... After if you prefer a digital multi-effects, everything is a matter of taste. But I do not regret the purchase, and I have a guitar to use it better.

EDIT: well I was a little too excited by writing this. Two years later, with a serious rig up, I realize that this is not what is the best. Most sounds are often too "lo-fi" (not transparent enough) and yet are far too discrete (live, they will pass unnoticed). I will not sell this because it has some unique capabilities (auto-wah, wah and phaser set fixed) but if it were to be lost, not sure I would replace him.
