I own this pack since May 2003. (Bought new at Surcouf € 299.00 in Paris)
My first surprise was the weight and size of the carton when I went looking for him.
For the record, I picked him on foot.
I park in the parking lot under the Gare de Lyon (for those who know) and I brought him walk to the car Surcouf ...
A tour of madness ...
I had body aches for a week, and I thought I'll never.
The system was connected to the output of a Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1 for a few years, and a Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty égalemen few years now. I've never had reason to complain the system.
It is a tough, full of muscle. The sound is more than adequate for a system like this, with monstrous bass, good midrange and treble are not far behind.
In short, it is very surprising. And especially when the lights first.
At the time, I still lived in the apartment, and my neighbor below me has not failed to point out that the sound was really ...
Today it is still running and this almost every day since the date of purchase.
No worries to report, it works flawless.
I do not regret my purchase.
[edit of 02.09.2011] This is now almost 8 years since my Altec system running as a brave man. It is still there. He still works every day or almost always with the same quality and no worries for now.
