I just found my 2008 opinion. 5 years (not a malfunction)
Now that my office is completely soundproof, almost an anechoic chamber, the sound is beautiful. (Always with the speakers on the same plane, not directed at you)
Those who complain it is a problem of positioning, reflection or mp3 to 128K / s. Misguided, you lose 50% of the bandwidth almost flat. Smooth walls, ibid. The other type of speakers may be less prone to this problem.
I also believe that my Sennheiser HD250 begins to age (ears?), It disappoints me now (ok, 25 years). Even though my hearing is adapted to Bose in 5 years, I see much more detail with, and what dynamics (2 or 300w on the desktop, sorry).
2 USB connectivity needs to be alone on a hub (or a group of 2 or 4 contiguous taken on a PC) mixing with a scanner or a USB mouse 1 and the problems begin - Bose unrecognized. Ok in Win7-64
A background without modulation, I have a little breath now (but not if I mute switches).
Forget mp3, shows that all these pap default 256/320K below, and again. Prefer ogg / flac or CD to have serious normal.
Then select your artist. Remember ABBA (ie mono) find Mr. Jackson. Barry White is very unstable in the album. in short, all his faults highlighted.
I'd like to read the opinion of a sound engineer on these speakers without aprioris with clogs and having taken the time to position them correctly.
Next post for their 10 years.
