Sound designer Tim Prebble, aka Hiss and a Roar, has released Mechanism, a large sample library with sounds of all kinds of machines and tools.
Mechanism features recordings of dozens of motors and tools as diverse as Meccano clock motors, a drill, a sawing machine, a 3D printer, various manual tools and even a guillotine!
The 20+ GB library features rhythms of all these devices as well as performances recorded with Sennheiser MKH80X0 and contact microphones. They are included in 24-bit / 48 kHz WAV multitrack files.
In total, the collection includes 533 metadata enriched WAV files.
Mechanism is available for the special introductory price of $99 until March 6th, regular price is $179. You can listen to demos at hissandaroar.com.
