Oddgrooves offers a free progressive rock MIDI drum groove, slightly longer (this IS prog rock) than the usual 32 bars as this one is 40 bars long.
Inspired by the style of bands Rush and Genesis (especially in their Duke era), this 40-bar drum groove/song was written by Per Ulfhielm and performed by Magnus Brandell. It is downloable as a free MIDI file, mapped for Toontrack EZdrummer & Superior Drummer, XLN Audio Addictive Drums, Sonic Reality I-Map, Steven Slate Drums, and of course the good ol’ General MIDI standard. No detail was given as to whether an assorted dedicated (paid) MIDI groove collection is planned, though.
You can get it from Oddgrooves’ website.
