This is an accoustic/electric guitar made by squier. It has composite (fiberglass) back and sides with a wood top and bracing. Maple neck and Fender preamp with eq.

I bought this guitar from my brother for $80.00 US. He needed some cash and I needed an acoustic guitar as my Ibanez was ready for retirement. This was not a choice I would have made on my own but because of the price I decided to give it a shot.

This guitar is very light weight making it a good travel guitar. It plays pretty good and has a decent but somewhat bright accoustic sound when not played through and amp. When you put this guitar through and accoustic amp It really comes to life. The Fender pickup and electronics work really well. Because this guitar has a real Telecaster neck it makes it a great practice instrument for whatever style of music you play, but Is also supprisingly gig worthy when amplified.

Im not real fond of the bright almost tinny unplugged sound this instrument has. String choice can help this alot! I use medium electric strings intead of light accoustic strings on this one.

The construction quality is pretty good actually. My brother owned this guitar for about 2 years before I got it almost 2 years ago, so its going on 4 years old. The tuners still hold good, It has shown minimal fret wear (and believe me it has been played alot), The electronics are all still good, and the finish on the wood is holding up nicely. The only thing I have had to do was replace the bridge pins because one of them broke (plastic).

A very good travel or practice instrument. Can be alot more amplified. Im happy with it and dont see selling it in the future. It is my go to practice guitar.

I bought this guitar from musician's friend for $200.
I liked the design and price.

I like the paisley finish.
The guitar has a bright sound.
The fishman pick up is impressive.
It also has an onboard EQ.

The action is bit high. But I can adjust it.

Typical of Fender guitars, the construction is more than adequate.

This is a great back up acoustic guitar.

It's not as full sounding as a deep body acoustic.

The sound and playability however, are fantastic.

I was going to give it 4 stars for quality.

But with the marked down price , I'll add another star for value.

I wanted an electro-acoustic so I could plug it straight into my BOSS-864 8 track recorder (no need for an external microphone) and so I bought a secondhand Tanglewood bowl back but this kept moving down my lap when played unless I used a strap. Also the Tanglewood had no cutaway meaning I had no accesss to anyhting above the 15th fret - I saw the Fender reviewed in a magazine and it came out very highly recommended. I took the secondhand Tanglewood back and they gave me exactly what I had paid them in part-ex. The Telecoustic was marked up at £199 - this was in Sound Control, Bristol UK.

The most useful aspect of the Telecoustic is that it allows easy upper fret access meaning I can play up in the second octave (fret 12 and above), with ease. Also the depth of the fibreglass sound bowl is very shallow so it is comfortable to play. As a devouted Telecaster user, the footprint is practically identical to its electric counterpart and this is very appealing. There was also a proper fitted Fender carry bag that came with it - nice touch.

The mucky brown colour - yuk.

The sound hole looks like it has been put out by some inexperienced child with a jigsaw, very rough and ready. However my biggest bugbear is that having got it home, there was a manufacturing flaw and one of the fret was lower than the rest meaning it choked when playing certain notes. It had to go back and luckily they could fix this at the shop, but it was an unexpected turn of events especiaally from a company with Fender's reputation. The built-in preamp is also a bit makeshift as part of it was coming away and had to be stuck down again. Apart from the that the overall feel is very good and it seems built to last.

It definitely sounds like a more expensive guitar to play, having plenty of bottom end when you dig in with a pick (I don't finger play at all), the top end sounding sweet. It needs a battery for the preamp (my Tanglewood was a passive system that didn't need one), making the Telecoustic unusable through my electric amp as it howls like a banshee with feedback noise. Like most acoustic based guitars it is very unforgiving, the strings being a gauge heavier than my electric guitars. Having said all this, I am very happy with the overall package, it doing exactly what I want it to do. More attention to detail would have been nice, the neck is a bit cheap 'feeling', I would have personally have prefered a satin finish on the neck that would have made it even more familiar territory having made the crossover from electrics. I would be interested to hear from anyone who buys one to compare notes.

I got the guitar from Musician's Friend for $263 inclusing the tax and shipping. Needed a good Acoustic/Electric to play in concerts. I ordered it online.

It has a nice acoustic sound and sounds even better plugged in. It has a nice electric style body making it easy to play and hit those high notes.

The guitar itself doesn't get a very loud acoustic volume. It doesn't stand by itself so hard to play by youself or around the houe not much ring to it.

It is very well made. You can feel its durability when you hold it. The pickup in the middle is not as stable has not broken but it is very nice.

Great guitar for a band. Can get very loud but for the solo artist look for something not as thin-line.

UTILIZATION

This guitar is a cool idea - I mean, the Telecaster is one of the most iconic electric guitars in history. And people love to play the acoustic guitar, so hey, why not combine the two into a TELECOUSIC? Right?

The problem is, the guitar is junk. The back is a cheap fiberglass, similar to an Ovation, yet without a curved bowl shape. The neck feels like a sub-$100 Starcaster from Target, and the fret job is awful. The action at the bridge is way too high, and the pickup sounds crackly and muddy at the same time.

SOUNDS

This may be the worst sounding guitar I've ever played. Honestly. The guitar was built to be an acoustic, so it should sound good not plugged in, right? Well, this guitar sounds like something you find at a yard sale. Not a good, hidden treasure, but like a kid's 1/2 size guitar made in the 60s with particle board. That is to say, it sounds absolutely awful. The electronics are terrible as well - the guitar I played had an awful crackly sound to it, yet still offered no definition.

OVERALL OPINION

This guitar is just bad, all the way around. It feels awful, plays awful, and sounds awful. Fender has made some amazing products, and this is decidedly not one of them. It really is a terrible guitar. A friend of mine offered to sell me his for $40 and I turned it down.

Made in China = zero. Fender ... should not be fooled by appearances, even Leonard de Vinci was caca.
The qual. is that three bands (not 4), but there is a contour DEFINITIONS. Dernire This is not breathtaking, even insignificant.

Also note the hole in table (I forget the name ... the event?) Is elliptical, not round, making it difficult or impossible to use a mute.
Rope bindings are weak on the rack, the plastic bitonios break very easy if you do not take it like a dentist. Finally, the composite body, pouerk.

Apart from the brief look and handle, this guitar is not for her.

UTILIZATION

The handle is quite enjoyable for a regular at the guitar maker. CHAC at agu is good for an electric guitar: a solo the 15 box is made without problem.

OK! j'adorre this brand for too long, but there they made a small electro-acoustic guitar real good value. Not connected, it's not terrible, it's a bit normal given the type of design, we are in the mid / high and nothing low. That sounds like the Godin Telecoustic home but not connected with the medium height. That's the negative side.

Once connected, oh! this cause! the fishman is not for nothing (Presence serious medium volume and treble). The sound is very accurate and not be resolved without problems.

UTILIZATION

The handle is little changed against a standard Telecaster electric.

UTILIZATION

Channel type telecaster, Fender's enjoyable trs. However unplayable pass the 12th fret, the key is high, ca frieze and / or ca not ring. The problem as it is not adjustable it must hold a tinkering at the foot of the handle, hoping that the voltage does not bulge out the cash. on mine I am fortunate to have in addition a default on the rosewood fingerboard, a kind of knot in the wood, making it a collector MODEL.
A good prampli but unworkable given the quality Intrinsically guitar.

SOUNDS

The sound is somewhere between a guitar and a standing ovation playskool low end, it's really more of rps playskool that even when standing ovation. UTILIZATION

The handle is trs enjoyable play. Not tiring. The string tension is a bit strong but it is often the case with Electroacoustic. I think that there must be a possibility of a more shallow draft.

I have this guitar for some time but the handling was quick and trs trs enjoyable. I find trs Aesthetics and good sound quality. The price is also attractive. Made in China or not, it's a Fender and I think that the requirement of this quality brand t respects.

Oh my god, this is where it goes bad: there is no sound. UTILIZATION

Channel enjoyable trs, body shape is much more convenient than a traditional acoustic guitar (style jumbo) and is one of the reasons for purchase. CHAC is difficult to acute. Branch sound is nice, it connects a Roland Cube 30w I intended a "real" electric guitar, with a little chorus and reverb: good sound in blues rock and rock. We can even put a little bit of saturation but not abuse it (this is an Electroacoustic).

OVERALL OPINION

It is a pleasure and a guitar first purchase, I had a "real" acoustic form but I did not like, wanting to run electric guitar to play on, I chose to approach a Premire . I have not tried MODEL enough to step back, but if I have to buy other guitars, I will keep this little Telecoustic for his ct "practice."
APRS exprience 3 years of use, I would classify more as a travel guitar. It's not REALLY an acoustic electric plutt but an instrument of study rather expensive pay. I also note down the "sound". Since her name as well Squier sold 2 times less CHRE!

Chinese manufacturing, a lot of defects in particular on the varnish on the back of the neck, and a default paint (mine was red) at the edge of the soundhole, it looked like it was retouched with nail polish!
Other error: wrong adjustment nut that is not well supported on the piezo at the high E, which affects the balance between the strings. Painful enough to correct!
Bient heard these defects only for the copy I bought, but it is a lot for a single guitar.
Fortunately the Fishman preamp is correct and enables effective settings.

UTILIZATION

never seemed very pleasant, easy to play better for electro, but the varnish has always bothered me in particular, and a plastic container makes a rather unpleasant feeling.
I could always get good sound, but no more.

SOUNDS

The best use is for an electric guitar to apoint in a group rather than electric. I used it on the PA group, the Sound can get sounds that are detached from the whole group managed to make themselves heard without straining the volume.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall opinion rather negative because the build quality is really insufficient for the same price. Not to mention the concept, initially quite attractive to have a guitar handy and compact but at the expense of sound.
