Note the long pitch (28 1/3 ") that made me buy this guitar to play for baritone.

UTILIZATION

This guitar is sold given in D but with a tune so long that I figured there would be no problem to drop SI. That was my goal, given how difficult it is to find acoustic baritone without selling a kidney. I hesitated before buying this guitar, because there is very little objective opinion on the net (see the forum).
Then one guy was selling a secondhand 350 € (the chest is not provided original!) So I jumped at the chance. I mounted string Baritones then I granted re mi fa if # if. At first it verged from all sides, I added a shim under the saddle bridge. After a few minor adjustments, I can say now (it's been almost 2 months) that it does. The handle is nice (I like the round handles well), access to acute is perfect. The guitar is well balanced and above all, it is "almost" right (I was afraid a lot of this side). I say almost because no acoustic guitar is right. When a manufacturer decides to finally put jumpers adjustable acoustics (as in electric)? The nut on my Taka is in 2 parts and in general I find it more accurate than other guitars. This ovation, the nut is in a plastic doubtful (too soft for my taste, it is well marked) with slight differences, but it seems sufficient to compensate for intonation problems. I think the pitch longer involves less correction. However, the plastic nut rotten I do not like and of course impossible to change, it contains the piezos.
Since we are in the negative, the finish of the table is ugly, it seems it is the same plastic as the doc box because everything is covered with black spray paint. When you open the tailgate it is clear that it is made of wood with conventional dams. A color and a varnish would have been much nicer (but more expensive than paint pistol).

SOUNDS

Good sound, this is the bottom hurts. Matter of taste but I think it lacks fullness and especially heat. on the other hand is not crystalline or garish, it's still correct.
The projection is not huge either. I got a standing ovation collector (the blue model 1982, I regret today), even normal tuning it sent much (she had also emptied all my savings).
After not expect a guitar to € 500 it sounds like a Taylor GT8 to 3000 €.

OVERALL OPINION

Apart from Walden B1E comes out (between 800 € and 900 € anyway), it is almost impossible to find a baritone acoustic under 1000 €. It is even more often above 1500 €. This guitar is the only alternative for a cheap baritone.
The negative points are:
- The table unglazed
- The bridge saddle
- Sound means
It is enjoyable to play. I needed to compose an acoustic baritone. For solo guitar recordings, the sound is not enough in my opinion but drowned in an arrangement that does. I'm happy with this compromise. Of course when I win the lottery I would pay a Taylor GT6 (or GT8're crazy).
