« Not great ... »
Published on 03/23/13 at 04:34I ordered it without trying to go with my good Vox Lil'NIGHTRAIN: motivated by his nice face, size contained the reputation of Orange and its low price. I said that I have tried with the Nightrain and it worked thus 1.2 Watts (as the PPC108 is an 8 ohm speaker). Into 16 Ohms, the Lil'Nightrain works in 2 Watts. I said it because it can have an impact on the sound.
Well here we go:
Big disappointment: his boardy, HP saturates very quickly and no heat, I did not have a sound as disgusting for years.
Should not jeopardize the size of HP than the Fender Champion 600 is small and sounds really good!
Even for a travel speaker is frankly unacceptable. Also I would recommend the vox nightrain the speaker or that of the AC1, a little more expensive it is true but more musical.
LABOGA also an excellent 1x12 16 ohm cabinet for less than 200 euros: it buries all!
In the end:
Pros: cabinet light and excellent finish for the price.
Negative points: the sound is really bad.
Referred to the end of a week.
