Analog pedal called "Metal Muff" by Electro-Harmnonix.
it is a distortion to which is added a powerful boost and a top effective equalization.
nothing to say the pedal is strong, I ONLY a fault on my model the knob "bass" is poorly positioned, so he does not turn on the axis mm than the other creating a gap, he turns away to + the left and less far to the right. which is fine and serviceable but probably made in the United States .. shame.

UTILIZATION

The pedal is very easy to learn, it immediately takes its bearings and there is little time to find sounds effective.
egualisation the killing is a real, effective and versatile, a real discovery for me who plays Marshall on forever.
the manual is provided as usual.

SOUND QUALITY

That's exactly what I was looking for!
I wanted a modern and powerful in its gain to complete my sound palette (my marshall produces sounds more vintage and limited gain). The headroom seems endless and the grain is still quite clean, not starting in the fuzz. lowering a little the medium (not cut either!) was a heavy sound reminiscent of Pantera, was by adding a more heavy, slayer type. It may even lower distortion and obtain a distortion "lighter" typical Black Sabbath or Iron Maiden.
The top boost channel is very powerful, the knob will rarely 3 or 4! it adds a lot of medium, which changes the texture of the very distortion, really not bad to be heard in a group, but its usefulness stops here as far too powerful.
With my Telecaster US (single microphone) the sound is pretty good, I must say that these are very good microphones and so they do not drool too but with an entry level guitar equipped with simple, I have doubts. .
However with my Aria Pro II features a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB bridge in this deposit severe! wahoo the slap! is precise and powerful mastered! and even instrument making of this guitar is really mean, I hate to have another scratch doubles with a violin better!

OVERALL OPINION

I do not really regratte this pedal, it really my full range of sounds, well I spend my vintage Marshall JCM2000 to modern and edgy distortion of the Metal Muff in two seconds!
I think it fits better on a guitar equipped with microphones adapted, this pedal can really most styles of metal, heavy, thrash, death .. and retains heat that most pedals have metal .
I remake this choice without hesitation.
