Best value:
Poor
I am very satisfied with the range of sounds available, which range from mild crunch to a big saturation.
Specifications:
1 volume
1 tone
1 drive (gain)
1 voice (the voice fits the "color" of the sound, to the left softer to the right a more aggressive sound)
3 modes: Lazy / Horny / Juicy corresponding to different levels of saturation
1 volume for the boost
Feed in 9v
No breath using it, even with a high dose of winning!
UTILIZATION
The settings are intuitive and many but in all cases, we always get a nice sound.
I do not think I have explored all the possibilities of the beast but in any case I'm delighted, special mention knob voice, very interesting for my taste. The Lazy / Horny / Juicy settings also allow you never miss saturation and refine his gain control more subtly changing fashion.
SOUND QUALITY
Beyond extreme settings, I especially noticed that, whatever the level of saturation asked pedal has its own identity! Judge Fredd spoke, he seems to me, of "muddy" sound. Can be without going that far (I did not grow either in a corner), I would say that it has its own grain and character. Good point, knowing that it is not easy to distinguish in the existing overdrives on the market tide!
Boost side, I have only little utility, it says it does a very good job.
I use an amp Brunetti and you can feel the quality of the machine, the Riff Shooter holds the comparison with the overdrive channel of my amp! The RS has one side more "granular", particularly suitable for blues and hard derivatives, rock ...
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 1 month. Previously I was on a T-Rex Tonebug overdrive, not without having tested the TS or other OD pedals. I decided to turn to a boutique pedal, in this case the Riff Shooter because the overdrive is one of the few effects that I use, it was important for me to have an excellent record.
Clearly, we are here at a higher level. The sound is much less boilerplate than conventional overdrive settings really help sculpt his own sound, but also to approach one of your favorite artists.
As said earlier, I love the voice and the different modes that allow you to customize your own sound.
The pedal can seem at first to have a high price but this is not the case: tell yourself to deal with a handmade pedal, with its own personality, flawless design, breathless, multiple adjustments and bonus a boost. The price difference with the pedals mass produced here really negligible. It is without hesitation that I will renew this purchase.
