made for extreme distos ... but I have not managed to get the grain that I wanted.

it is better not to gain in depth, and volume for more accurate sound ...

OVERALL OPINION

certe is a good pedal ... but then try before you buy ... frequency range may not please everyone ... for the slipknot or meshuggah is perfect ... for the maiden / glam metal ... you better choose something else.

SOUND QUALITY

This is the high gain distortion, for me it is not far from the Rectifier, nice play on words for our friends Wampler (Wreck) except that it gets noticed when you know a little Rectifier also a video that compares the two has been posted on Youtube:
I use the channel Modern vintage is not enough open too dark, I found my good plans for Metallica, Megadeth, Dream Theater and especially Sixx: AM and stuff on my Fender amps, it stays clean is very heavy, something unbelievable shot of the mini-Mesa failed to rectify ... arrived as early as early left
The big difference is the presence and lower gain on the pedal, a small adjustment on the amp and the pedal and no soucy
The boost gives a fuzzy side nothing to do with the philosophy Mesa I never use it
Fans of modern big disto sauce Rectifier will enjoy it then try, it's worth it

OVERALL OPINION

They have already done the hard guys Wampler, what seems strange is that they do not bear the noise of Rectifier copy unlike the other pedal (plextortion, plexidrive, 65 black, Slostortion, tweed 57) can be a history of law??
In any case the price stings a little bush that € 235 but the quality is there so it's almost a chance that there is a pedal that levels there, from the time that I want a, I do it again this choice without hesitate

This is a high gain distortion pedal made to emulate the american boogie rectifier high gain sound.

Knobs:

Volume, Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Cream/Crunch, and a vintage/modern toggle switch.

The pedal itself is quite chunky in size. Not too sure why when the power is still 9v and the knobs have the same amount as the other wampler distortion pedals.



UTILIZATION

Pretty simple to use, all wampler pedals have a sort of similar set of knobs and what not to play around with. Plug in, tweak and play!

SOUND QUALITY

To my ears, this sounds nothing like a rectifier. Not even close. It seems to have captured everything bad about a rectifier sound, put it all together and then added fuzz to make it worse.

I've owned 3 rectifiers, a single, a dual and a triple and I can tell you with complete confidence that this pedal does not replicate a rectifier in any sense. Yes it may give that sort of vibe, but it seems to have given the wrong vibe or the horrible sounding features of the rectifier amps in one pedal. I personally haven't been able to find a usable tone with this pedal except for some extreme fuzz-like settings. Rectifier-ish sounds? Couldn't come up with anything to make it sound even passable.

Just listen for yourself, either in person or even on the net. There are plenty of professionally recorded clips of the triple wreck and boogie triple rec out there. The triple wreck to me, sounds like a distortion pedal. Not like a rectifier and not very amp-like sounding.

Yes it's dynamic, it cleans up with the volume rolled down which is nice, and you can get some decent low gain sounds as well. This is designed to work with a clean amp and yes that's how I set it up when I played with it. I tried to like it, I honestly did! I played it for weeks on different days and left it, came back to it with fresh ears etc. Nothing.

I think it's all hype these days with pedals that claim to be able to be a marshall in a box or a boogie in a box and only really really few pedals are able to actually accomplish these things while the rest are just marketing tactics to get you interested. I think at most this pedal is good for wild cream/fuzz sounds that you've never heard before.

OVERALL OPINION

Good build quality, easy to use. Great fuzz/cream pedal. Horrible rectifier distortion pedal. I know everybody's ears are different but this one just doesn't do the job like it says.

For an analog pedal this thing is fantastic. Let me first start by saying I don't like distortion pedals but I am a fan of Wampler's stuff and I like fuzz boxes. This unit has a unique take on the Mesa Boogie Rectifier amp and combine that with a fuzz box similar to a Pete Cornish distortion box. The box will sound like a pedal but it gets very close to a cranked tube amp.

UTILIZATION

This unit is very easy to use and get a good setup right out of the box. There a few more knobs than other Wampler pedals put this is kind of two pedals in one. One side is a Recto sound and the other which is engaged when you click the boost sounds more like a fuzz unit. Actually when you turn the gain down it gets more of a british flavored amp. Clicking the VIntage/ Modern switch really changes the voicing of the amp. When you crank the mids you'll get a good british flavor with the switch pointed to Vintage.

It can be a little noisy since there is so much gain on the tap. This isn't a tame pedal by any means.

SOUND QUALITY

Again you can feel the pedal when engaging it where you would feel the air being pushed from an overdriven amp. So there is going to be a noticeable feel in the guitar and amp when playing this versus gain in pre and power tubes.

The thing sounds cool and has a recto sound to it, but it still sounds like a pedal. The boost side is cool with single coil guitars such a Strat. You can get those David Gilmore type tones that will sustain for days. Try this with a clean amp. This will not work with a high gain amp. It will be way too much gain and be more noisy than you can handle.

OVERALL OPINION

This is a cool pedal if you own a clean amp such as a Fender or Vox and you would like to get a Mesa Boogie sound without buying a Triple Recto. This pedal will get you a similar sound. It will be pretty cool for the person who wants to use this pedal because they don't want to wait for a Pete Cornish pedal. This pedal comes in at around $270, which is a little higher than Wampler's other pedals but it is two pedals in one unit.

I would recommend this pedal to any clean amp owner. If you have a high gain amp then you would need a clean boost of a Tube Screamer. This pedal will be too much for any high gain amp. If you want a real sounding Recto sound then you'll have to go out and buy a real Mesa.

doc is pretty clear, the examples are interesting (yen has two not too far) at once we realize the versatility of the pedal just by changing a few settings at knobs .

SOUND QUALITY

So there I am interested in these effects thanks to their presentation by burgerman666 on youtube, and son in hand I found the effects Wampler ..
So his level, I had a lot of distortion pedals, including one that sounds wonderfully VTWIN mesa but lacked some potato logs (style muse, or other)

Saturation level, the range covered is impressive, equalizers Extremely efficient and accurate, and that is, one might compare with other pedal hight gain ...

For example, another reference to pedal hight gain: emma PisdiYAUwot
bah if we compare the Wampler and emma, a saturation point of view say they are held, but once we move to the crunch, the triple crunch of Wreck to soft and really nice while Emma has a " low saturation "brief which is not comparable to the Wampler ...

I think to compare the quality of two pedals, the comparison in saturation pressure is important but also to enjoy the crunch behavior.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had two weeks, and I'm amazed by the amount of sounds you can get, not to mention the integrated fuzz that couple to add more soft and mushy bass. ..

obviously I will complete this review later with more distance and repeat '...

if I were to sum up: A pedal hight gain excellent with lots of options and settings possible (integrated fuzz) and so versatile. A pedal
