« Very good overdrive »
Published on 06/17/14 at 04:352 channel overdrive pedal overdrive utilsable as a means or as clean boost considering its transparency when the drive is moderate.
Solid and compact case that takes place easily on a pedalboard.
UTILIZATION
Very simple to use: three EQ bands common to both channels (bass, middle, treble) and a three-position switch to refine mid. This allows one to work well the sound and adjust the pedal to the various guitars that branch there (semi-hollow maple, solid mahogany body, single coil, double, P90, ...).
For the second channel, a knob "more" to increase the gain.
SOUND QUALITY
I have not had the privilege of playing on a Dumble amp, so I do not argue me on a comparison with the sound of the amp inspiration ...
Anyway, the pedal produces beautiful crunch, rich in harmonics even with a moderate gain. It is really clean: free reagent decrocher in unwanted feedback. Very enjoyable to play.
For those looking for great distortion, go your way. This pedal is really geared moderate gains. In this vein, it is of great subtlety, reactive play and instrument. Single or double pickups will find them.
Even more channel switches will not propel you in tons of distortion.
With this overdrive guitar punches well in the mix without aggressiveness.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 3 months in a rock record, blues-rock, funk (its vintage and modern) and I am delighted, both in rhythm for the leads.
Plugged into my Carvin Nomad, it is perfect.
Much softer than Blackstar HT Dual or a V-Twin, I appreciate its subtlety, its responsiveness and sound control it allows.
Its price, which may seem a little high, seems perfectly justified under competition. I do not regret this purchase. You can find on the net good videos to make you a good idea of the sound of this pedal.
