The KMD PD8L is a power conditioner for uses of all types. The studio that I work at has one of these as a power conditioner for our console. Of course it's not powering up the entire console, which has it's own power supply, but we use this to plug the console's power supplies into it. Our console is a Neve 8068, so something like this single space rack mountable power conditioner would never get the job done, it's merely an interface between it's power supply and electricity. I don't know very much information on this power conditioner other than we've got it up and running, as it stays there stationary and never gets touched. The power for our console is always running as it's an old board that isn't shut down, so we don't even have to turn it off. However, judging from it's stable use I think it's pretty safe to say that this has done to job for us for quite a while now. It doesn't boast any special features or anything like that, but it's a solid power conditioner for uses of all types. I really don't have any other backing knowledge for the KMD PD8L other than our usage for it, as it seems to be incredibly rare for whatever reason. I didn't know much about KMD in general until I knew about this, but they make other power amplifiers, guitar amplifiers, and conditioners like this one. If you could ever find this (or any information on it), I don't know what it would cost you at all, but it's certainly not necessary to seek one out if you just need a simple power conditioner. If you do come across one of these however, it's solid for what it does and can be trusted with powering any gear inside your studio.
