The RPQ Ribbon EQ and Preamp For Nebula Pro allows you to use this microphone preamp and equalizer, described as giving “an amazing amount of control over your signal with musical clarity”. It consists of 8 programs, all sampled at 96kHz and tested to retain accuracy at 44.1kHz and 48kHz sample rates with the latest version of Nebula Pro.
According to CDS, the RPQ has been designed especially to resolve the most complex contours and shaping needs needed with ribbon microphones, from controlling the range of low end proximity boominess and muddiness to the capability to provide boost and lift to the highs, but this range of flexibility is not just applicable to ribbon microphones and can prove useful for all sources.
The RPQ is said to feature a wide low cut/high pass LF band that covers a slope frequency from 18Hz to 260Hz, and high frequency boost wth a wide high shelf “curve shaper” from a slope that begins at 2.1kHz to 26kHz.
This CDS-made emulation is now available for Nebula Pro. It can currently be purchased at the discounted price of $29 at CDSoundMaster’s website.
