Musicians who wish to collaborate remotely on their Cubase sessions can now use their iPad to do it, thanks to the new VST Connect Performer app.
The Steinberg VST Connect Performer app for iPad is a remote collaboration tool that, when used with the VST Connect plug-in in Cubase and an internet connection, transmits in real time multi-track audio (up to 16 tracks) from an iPad to the host computer with a maximum audio resolution of 24-bit / 192kHz. Musicians and producers can also use the app to communicate, all the transfers are encrypted for a maximum security.
VST Connect Performer requires a peer-to-peer connection with VST Connect SE (included in Cubase 7 / 7.5 and Nuendo 6 / 6.5) or VST Connect Pro. Note that some features are only available with VST Connect Pro.
The app is available at the AppStore for 4.49€ / $4.99.
