Frodebeats launches the Oscillotron
Oscillotron, the virtual synth Frodebeats has unveiled last December, is now available for Mac and PC.
Oscillotron features samples of various classic analog synths, including the ARP 2500/2600/Odyssey, Aires, Mammoth Modulars, EMU, MODCAN, Korg 7000s, Sequential Pro 1, Roland, Oberheim and more. 28 000 samples result from the sampling, with multiple round robins and filter layers.
Oscillotron offers 400 sounds, 100 drum kits, each with 10 sounds, and 96 soundscapes with up to 16 sounds each.
The Oscillotron GUI allows you to control two multimode filters in series (also modeled from Moog and Oberheim devices), three envelopes, two LFO, an overdrive, an exciter and seven effects (analog chorus, tape delay, spring and digital reverbs, frequency shifter, compressor and digital delay). A track sequencer is also included with 100 drum loops and 100 soundscapes ; it can be synced to the host tempo.
Oscillotron is available as a VSTi plug-in or standalone software for Mac OS X and Windows. Its price is $149. More info at frodebeats.com.
