UTILIZATION
ABS plastic green, 1 gain, 1 tone, 1 volume, is simple.
Manual useless, just plug in and turn the knobs ...
For nags who confuse stomp and kick pedal to avoid, for others, it's OK. I use it for 2 years, turning the knobs regularly in all directions and no reliability problem.
SOUND QUALITY
I use it mainly to give boost to the thickness and sustain to an already saturated and it's done its job.
I have not tried the original, difficult to compare.
I reproach TONE mainly limited action as beyond the first quarter, I find her shrill and unpleasant.
I did the test compare with an emulation of a TS808 after DIGITECH RP350, which is exactly the same!
That said, the schematic of TubeScreamer Ibanez is known worldwide and on the net, so not difficult to reproduced the original. Which leaves me skeptical when the various reviews that say the very distant from the original ... snobbery?
