I think the battery case is badly designed, there is a screw on the underside of the pedal that can make life hard.
UTILIZATION
Setup is simple: 3 knobs for volume, drive and tone. The small switch provides three different tonal contours: vintage, bright, warm. Maybe knob operation is not as tight and solid as in super-professional stompboxes.
SOUND QUALITY
I play a Godin Redline and a little amp FX Clean. I will not compare this pedal to its model, the TS, because I do not know. By comparing against the Bad Monkey, I find it more punchy with more personality. I will say that the Bad Monkey is perfect for blues while the latter is well suited for rock. With a little delay, it does wonders.
Anyway I like the grain of this pedal.
OVERALL OPINION
I got rid of my old Bad Monkey to buy this OD10 Mad driver and I'm not disappointed with my exchange. I have no worries for its durability, since this the pedal has a sturdy metal case.
Good value for money, the Chinese are very strong.
