- For those who are not yet understood, it is a pedal for overdrive and disortion
- Analog Technology: you turn the knobs and change the sound ... magic
- Uh nan: D
- An entry (input) output (output) and a power supply unit
- To meet other opinions:
- 1) I have a power supply that n'esst pa brand Boss (not expensive) and it works very well
- 2) A Rechargeable ba for those who do not like the power supply: AC is not the skin of the ass and it's handy!!
UTILIZATION
- In any case, the grip is all that is simpler, but then when it comes to find the ideal sound for each song and musical style is far from child's play ^ ^
- First Button: The volume, relatively effective, is to bcp in reserve.
- Second Button: The tone: Personal is the point that leaves me bcp to be desired, the range of tone is too restrinte for my taste (especially in terms of a half 0)
- Third Text: The drive, more or less extensive, it reaches its not a super trash pushed up but personally I am glad much!
- Fourth and final Button: Color: The most important of the pedal: allows to choose a totally Overdrive, more dirty and hot, sound distortion, more modern, "clean" and cold but also a mixture of the two effects suptil (d 'or the major interest of the pedal ^ ^)
Regarding the manual, there is alas no data settings, but it's more fun in history to find its own settings
If not for those who want to persevere, there are two or three presets on the official website of BOSS!
SOUND QUALITY
- For me the effects are relatively satisfesant for the price set in this pedal, well, that's not what happens mieu level of sound quality on the market but it remains still to live up to my expectations,
I pence that this pedal does more Sampling of each effect rather than to reproduce them perfectly
- In terms of style of music, do not buy this pedal for playing metal, the Metal-Zone will be much more suited to the application, you can play sounds over Grunge (even if the OD-2 will be much more appropriate) and also to a wider British rock and 70s rock.
- Personally I'm more a fan of the overdrive and distortion rarely used, but I must admit that the mixture of the two is very charming ...
OVERALL OPINION
- I use this pedal for about 6 months so I'm starting to get used to it ^ ^
- It is true that to mix the two over the effect is most interesting about this object. Another poitn strong for my taste (but that applies to all other products from BOSS) its strength and build quality! you can jump to the Inrush, it will not move a muscle! impressive!
- I try a lot of other model in the genre but I thought Boss and the only one to offer these two effects in one and the same pedal.
- Level price / quality ratio, I honestly pence there is nothing to say, now level / quality as this .... ca may be poor but not much, I reassured him
- As for the choice I would point out that: I am an amateur, who has not a penny, which rotted with an amp and an overdrive viel who wants these two effects without buying two pedal (which would have cost me 180 euro instead of 85) so even now I do not regret my choice.
Afterwards, if a small amount available me, I'm not saying I made the same choice D: D
