It's an overdrive, Analog.
Level technology, it's beautiful stuff 4 ampliops silent, condos orange, not a single chemical component of the super short and tall.
It's totally not editable, not rack, but you can plug a guitar and an amp, and a 9V power supply equipped with a conventional connector such as bosses.

Everything is in a solid metal case, it should open with a screwdriver if you want to change the battery (I think it sucks by the way)

UTILIZATION

The setup is simple?
In theory yes it was

Attack (middle)
edge (acute)
level (volume)
In fact it looks like an ressucé the famous TS9, but with a different equalization.
In practice it is a little more tense, action on the equalization tends to change the rate of perceived distortion, or even the volume, so when you change a button you tend to have readjusted the others.

It lacks a bass adjustment, no show on the stock pedal.

So something more versatile than a TS9 but piol more complicated.

SOUND QUALITY

The effects are they effective: it was a good overdrive it will not level off hyper gain, which in itself is not a fault although always regret that there are not more ...

The effect is realistic: The manual promises that it makes the sound of a JCM800, it is as any super lamps, which is obviously false. Finally say that on an amp it sounds lamp lamp, and a transistor ben it sounds more light ... The blows on a JCM800 may be it must sound like a JCM800 ... In short it will be buffered

The effect is it appropriate: Here is a real question on the other hand:
So a transistor amp is not really convincing, it makes the overdrive and crunch is nice but nothing more.
On a tube amp pushed well (limit crunchouille power), it serves to boost that adds to the distortion) and there is divine. The attack button is proving very interesting.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had 7 years, but I almost never used. I bought it because it was cheap, I had a sd1, the saturation is less beautiful but more suited equalization. I have long regretted that Ashanti, until I open it and modify it to retrieve the missing bass change is described here:

So a good overdrive pedal, but agrees not necessarily any amp.
On an amp transo the result is interesting, but not amazing.
On a large lamp, bof, unless you want to become deaf or have a high-performance power braker.
On a small lamp a little attenuated mix distortion pedal to boost more frequency selction is excellent.
On a small 5W it must be property (if you like the sound of the amp at the beginning) it is in overdrive and treble boost géométire variable ideal in principle on what kind of gear)
