overdrive inspired by the famous Ibanez Tube Screamer TS808.

Equipped with the famous JRC4558 chip that made the reputation of the 80 Tube Screamer's, Luther Drive also has the same settings as the original TS. We thus find a LEVEL, TONE and a DRIVE.

In terms of connectivity, nothing extraordinary. A stereo input jack, a mono output jack and a base-type DC 9V Boss, Ibanez ...

A high brightness blue LED is used to indicate the status of the outcome (ON / OFF). The pedal is activated via a switch tru bypass (3PDT).

The housing is aluminum and access to the battery is via the back plate.

UTILIZATION

No manual in the box but only three buttons on the pedal. A notice is it really necessary?!

SOUND QUALITY

His side, we are dealing with a Tube Screamer high quality. Ideal boost (with the drive to 0) or pure overdrive with the drive to 3 / 4. Of course, all combinations are available ... In general, the sound is not too rough, but it's still an OD!

The + from an Ibanez Tube Screamer Reissue is the tone knob. TS808 TS9 on and republished by Ibanez, we must admit that this setting is absolutely inefficient. With Luther Drive, it's much better that it could, in my opinion, be further improved.

OVERALL OPINION

Although it is available in the U.S., the OD is less expensive than the re-proposed and Ibanez is much more convincing!
