Published on 02/16/14 at 16:04OD with a maximum gain not very high (more than a hair my TS-9) but with a level against very Release (too) result. In addition to traditional settings (gain, tone, volume) it has an active boost frequency 100Hz and a switch "Bump" that boosts the mids.
UTILIZATION
RAS on use. The switch "bump" once engaged ... the rest. Makes you wonder why we can cut it.
Note however the output level, really important (set at 9am for me!)
I use it for my crunch pushed.
SOUND QUALITY
The effect is really in the style I like, fat but more accurate than my TS-9. It happens to have a law with its more active and bump the tone almost background.
Rather reagent volume on the guitar and especially sensitive to the type of microphone used. I prefer it with a good humbucker a little fat (Alnico V).
OVERALL OPINION
Bought misery (35 € on a classifieds site well known ...) it quickly became my standard OD. It sounds really easy to get and most importantly, that all sound! It responds very well to boost upstream, it is compact and quite nice to look at.
All this is positive.
Negative: the indicator of "Bump" blinding (a blue LED that sends really more than the red start!) 9V jack on the side, and the obligation to unscrew 4 screws to mount or remove a battery. Well, I'm using it with a power supply but it can be painful.
In short, I would reiterate again, even by paying more than what I paid for mine!
