UTILIZATION
4 easy grip knobs you turn and listen how it goes! The settings are very sensitive and very progressive.
SOUND QUALITY
This is my third Xotic pedal, I already boost the EP, the BB preamp. Its name means "always clean" AC! Yeah, not only, indeed it can be used as a booster, but having already PE boost, I use it as overdrive, gain at 2/3 sent it already with doubles, one is in a right spirit rock vitaminé.La blues sound is softer creamier than the BB, it also leaves less gain.
What I really like is to use both cascading a treat! The BB to the AC to give it a kick in the c .... The gain of the BB to a quarter and there you have grain, bran.
The pedal works well with double than with simple, it is always transparent does not affect the character of the guitar plugged in, I have not tried but I think if you plug a guitar from me ... . of the sound will be terrible.
OVERALL OPINION
Purchased from Cygnus on Audiofanzine earlier this year because the other guitarists in the group bought one and I found the sound excellent (he also copied it took a BB preamp when he heard mine) Despite this we do not have the same sound as different guitar and different amps, my Xotic quality is always the same.
There are certainly other good pedals overdrive-booster, but it is among the best.
I made this choice because I already had two other equally good Xotic pedals, our bass player also has a Xotic RC bass booster, should be asked to endorse not be?
The only downside, the price new, almost € 200!! When you know that this is the price in dollars from the USA. Currently you can find it at € 175 for Toto, it's still expensive but considering the sound quality and workmanship it's worth it to throw an ear.
