Did you try many other models before buying it?

Products often better known, upscale kind Nexo, APG, Martin Audio, and more ... but my TOA pleasantly surprised by the clarity provided by acoustic diffusion on vocals, guitar and keyboard.
Very good Medium Treble (possibly in a box complete with Sub) is better on drums, bass ...
Down to the grave "Frequency Response 70 Hz", but this is acute (20 000 Hz)


What is so special that you like most and least?

The + ... On his voice and instrument, keyboard, acoustic guitar very accurately reproduced. Also small percussion (conga, other ...).
The - ... Weight, 37 kg anyway, but ... 2 handles!

The pavilion can turn acute (4 screws) to stay in optimal angle diffusion front or back stage.

How do you rate the quality / price?

Purchased occasion (July 2010) € 550 each (+ € 1,000 in nine currently catalog TOA) and used four tour musicians, mostly acoustic instrument, these speakers have always been loyal to the appointment.
My version: 2 Front / 2 Back
Simply a change of the passive filter capacitor on the purchase (same capacity, but MKP Audio ...) instead of chemical capacitors often located basics of origin (the pictures on the filter, there are older models capacitor), and end with age by distorting the audio signal sent to HP.
For open enclosures, "Speakers" Boomer 38 "(13,000 kg) and Engine 1" / 3 "(6.5000 kg) resemblent strongly with Altec components (TOA to work with, so I lose or my Latin ...).
The Titanium Diaphragms in 3 "from Altec (see also Precision Devices), is almost a carbon copy of original TOA diaphragm ...!

With experience, you do again this choice?

My music project is completed, I now offer for sale ... (With 1 Amp EV Q44).
I think these speakers will still satisfy many music lovers and artists on stage.
