« Very disappointed ... »
Published on 02/28/11 at 09:3523/12/2010 purchased, received shortly after Christmas, this unit is about to hit the road for Thomann.
In fact, I delayed the rise in my rack and am finally took action last week, Oh and disappointment, the LED worked two hours in a row correctly before starting to show signs of shortness of breath and erratic behavior during the next 4 hours before finally finally extinguished in full use.
As this light for me unless necessary, I will go and be replaced by Thotho gear for a T-RackS PC200 certainly more expensive (73 €) but more comprehensive because it stabilizes the electrical that is not the PL2000, and it also provides an indicator of voltage and consumption (Amps) and a greater protection against only 8 to 10A for the PL2000.
For 88 €, there is also the Phonic PPC9000E showing m ^ m electrical characteristics as the PC200 with 10 IEC socket bonus instead of 8 and offers a voltmeter as a bargraph LED, or, for m ^ m price, Samson PB10 Powerbrite which provided 8 IEC rear + 1 front, but primarily provided a filter RFI / EMI This is without doubt the most important for the rack of a guitarist always sensitive to various buzz and varied.
The build quality is certainly not bad. And I use the Behringer also, I did not especially of belief on the brand, but now that PL2000 is not my best purchase is clear.
For this price, we Behro accustomed to things yet more complete. RFI filter was minimal especially since this is not what costs the most. After I said no, a current stabilization was a must, but it's a bit more.
Latter, contrary to what the first review said, it's not 20 seconds claimed by the reset, but ... 2 minutes ...
In short, as rackmount power strip, why not, but otherwise ...
