Analog sound equalizer pedal set. This pedal is proving particularly useful to boost a particular frequency or even mitigate interference frequency (resonance of a speaker for example). Also great to imitate a particular sound or improve the equalization of distortion!

UTILIZATION

The settings are very simple:
The slider control allows Low amplification or reduction of frequencies around 75Hz. The high slider does the same thing to 5.6kHz. Finally, the Mid slider operates in the same way but always for a selected by the potentiometer frequency side, hence the name "Parametric EQ".

SOUND QUALITY

Unlike GE-601 in the same series, this pedal is very quiet, no noise! Whatever settings (even all full), the signal is always clear without unwanted distortion ... The slider is very hot Low (75Hz), and adds a nice presence in the lower course ... The slider is by High cons never aggressive. Can obtain highly crystalline sounds are audibly significant. Finally, to set the frequency, the knob is perfectly linear and continuous. The annotations are also quite close to the actual frequencies ...

OVERALL OPINION

The first thing that comes to mind when one hears of an equalizer for guitar: "it is useless" ... Grâve error! These pedals provide a finish that allows her to have a soundstage sometimes difficult to access without equalization ... For example, with a sort of Big Muff or OD-850 and QP-401 set slightly boost to 1.1KHz, you can get almost the sound of Ted Nugent Stranglehold in with a strat!
In conclusion, although this pedal provides only a 3-band EQ, its role can be critical in refining the sound!
The vintage character of the effect provides a more aggressive sound ever warm ...
A must try!

I put 10/10 as the pedal has no default settings in my opinion it offers.
