When I bought them, I was unsure about this model and the alesis m1, but I chose the krok because they are less flattering than the m1.
- I use them for my home studio (electronic music).
- 2*80w Audiocentron amp
SOUND
- They are neutral enough
- Very good stereo image
- Very warm sound, maybe a bit too much because the highs aren't reproduced that well
- In terms of dynamic response, they are not bad for passive speakers at this price point
OVERALL OPINION
I've been using them for six years...
- What I like most is their warm sound and the lows, the possibility to listen at high volumes.
- What I like less is the lack of dynamics at low volumes.
I tried quite a few monitors back then (alesis m1, tannoy reveal, maudio ...)
- They no longer exist, but you can get them secondhand for about 150 bucks
Based on my experience, I would surely buy them again or maybe I'd go for a higher quality range.
