When I purchased my Wami Box 3 years ago c'tait the only sound card for notebooks. Also its really interesting to SPECIFICATIONS taient audionumrique mobile station.

Usage: Cubase SX, Reason, Ableton Live, Pre-Mastering vinyl, live-act.

Config: PIII 850MHz Notebook, 256MB RAM, 20GB HD, Win98SE

CHARACTERISTICS of the card: 4 outputs + 2 comes into cynch, i / o SPDIF coax + optical, headphone monitoring, midi in / out. support up to 48khz. 20 bits.

UTILIZATION

It is impractical to visit the ESI website to download any latest ASIO drivers, the only ones who can really flexible use of this card (the EWDM allows audio to run multiple applications at the same time).

No incompatibility but use almost 100% of the grant apps Asio.

The manual is almost non-existent ...

GETTING STARTED

Drivers trs stable but little used - day, although the current version is enough.

Software: Cubase SX, Reason, WaveLab, Ableton Live, Cool Edit.

Latency: 9ms for flexible use.

Number of tracks: I do not use the audio (only VSTi, midi)

MIDI is not stable, especially for sync, I even stopped using the MIDI in / out of this card.

OVERALL OPINION

Use for 3 years.
I like the sound, dynamics.
I dislike: MIDI support, lack of support by ESI on the net.
QualitPrix: good.

Currently there are certainly better solutions trs notebook, but this WamiBox for me today.
