Gobo Music

The Terratec seemed a good choice. Its characteristics are quite to my needs. Audio quality very high level, a MIDI interface to control the few synths and sound modules, a digital interface very convenient to export his compositions and some still useful analog interfaces for connecting the different sound sources.
Well, even if the connection level is not as convenient as my old card (ISIS), she is more than enough and can avoid buying a mixer if you do not have many external machines to connect above.
I use it on a motherboard with an Athlon 1.4Ghz KG7 and thus VIA chipset on Windows XP and no particular problem. We feel on the other hand is not optimized for Win98, the latency in the OS are pretty long.
UTILIZATION
Installation could not be simpler, especially with XP, poof you put the CD install and it fact it's good! I must say that it is a card that just exclusively digital audio, no wavetable synthesizer or (hardware), so the driver is very simple but very effective!
The manual is clear and "mixer" virtual intuitive. We appreciate Multiclient mode that allows software to read and record another simultaneously.
The card is very simple to install, the rack is strong and we rather regret having put it on the front of the PC, with all this connectivity is not very practical.
GETTING STARTED
Drivers in XP are still really great, I get an average latency of 15 ms!
The buffers are somewhat capricious to settle in different software, but once more set of problems.
OVERALL OPINION
A very very good sound card so that mostly sound very end for this price range (you can easily work in 24/96). In addition, it meets a power user like me music, but occasionally a little fun or play a DVD for example.
