If not, apparently, there are a lot of possible rglages to ensure that Spektral Delay will pump all the memory of the squenceur (SX2 for me) ... but as always at the expense of possibility sd 'edition
NOTICE GLOBAL
Only downside: the GUI (it would have been better to make it prcises the conditions by opening other windows instead to stay only one available in the module.
I have tried a lot of hardware and software delays but it's this that the m 'is most pleased with the seller. and frankly, I have no regrets.See less00 - AnonymousPublished on 08/24/08 at 19:37 (This content has been automatically translated from French)- The installation is done it without problems?
Simple
- Have you experienced any incompatibilities?
No
- The general configuration is it easy, the manual is clear and sufficient?
Getting started requires an adjustment period. The interface is not intuitive. It should read a little and go to the doc:

Everything becomes clearer once we got it the "trick" after several days of tests.

At the beginning do not expect to get "the sound that kills" because the software needs to be tamed. It is necessary to try to test various combinations of modulations, delays and feedback. Open the Settings ... Reading the manual is not superfluous
OVERALL OPINION
I possess 5 years but I quickly left behind. I thought the sound was as stated in the previous opinion as noisy metal (everything is a matter of settings. It is possible to have a metallic sound, nasal sound of crickets ... the sound of analog synth). I almost put it in the trash.
Strangely, since it stopped production NI I am interested in this app. So I reconsidered my way of looking at this app. After 3 days to test, for crushing sounds in all directions (and read a little doc). At that time I have learned the sounds that were becoming interesting.
I use it mainly with Cubase VST with a remote control sl Novation.
Say that at first I could not understand the philosophy of this program. Before, I thought "how could they lay a soft sound quality as mediocre."
It is necessary to do some tests and adjustments in the secondary pages. I hate to delve into the literature because I like to feel and understand things in an intuitive way. But sometimes it is necessary to delve into the manual to operate the beast. Then it is a treat.
I hope one day to Native plunge on this app as it deserves. Combine a filter and a delay is a good idea. If Native replanche this mega soft I hope it will further develop the appearance filter.
I do not understand Native Instruments, they stopped such a good soft. There are so many things to do in terms of sound design.
For handling an adjustment period is required to operate the beast.
Interest for the originality 10 + +
For those who want to enrich the sound palette of hard or soft materials. For fans of the sound design an app to have. Keep it!
Difficult to get one. We should see then Reaktor and other similar apps.See less10 - moosersPublished on 12/08/09 at 19:10Native Instruments Spektral Delay is a plug-in designed for a variety of digital audio workstations. I didn't have anything to do with the installation process as it was already installed on the system that I have been using it on, so I can't say too much about the process in general. The interface of the plug-in has a decent amount going on with it, so it would take too long to list all of the different sections and parameters, but I will say that while there are a lot of options available, it is pretty easy to navigate through everything. I haven't seen a manual for this plug-in so I don't know how useful it would be.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
The system that I have used Native Instruments Spektral Delay on is Pro Tools HD based and runs with a Digidesign 192 I/O on an Apple G5 computer. I actually don't use the plug-in in Pro Tools however, I use it primarily in Apple Logic Pro. I have used it in Pro Tools using the Fxpansion VST wrapper, but find it more useful when working with MIDI rather than audio. Within the configuration that I mentioned above I'm able to get great performance from this software as I can't say that I've ever had a problem with it in the year or so since I've been using it. However, since I haven't ever run this on an LE based system or something comparable, it is hard for me to say how it would run within this type of configuration.
OVERALL OPINION
While Native Instruments Spektral Delay is rather old at this point, it is still an in depth plug-in that has a pretty good overall sound quality. I'm not sure where you would even get this plug-in if you wanted it, but if you come across one in a studio like I did I would definitely recommend trying it out. While there are definitely a lot of newer delay plug-ins that are cleaner sounding overall, but I like this one because it has a lot of unique features and endless parameters and effects to work with. Native Instruments Spektral Delay is definitely one of my favorite delays when it comes to creative uses...
