A quick stop at U-he's booth at Musikmesse for a demonstration of the new Satin tape machine simulation plug-in.
Satin features three control modes: Studio in which you’ll adjust the basic functions such as input and output levels, compander, two EQs, each one with several curves that simulate the EQ of different tape machines, and you’ll have the possibility to group multiple instances of the plug-in for easy control.
The second mode is dedicated to Delay, with 2 or 4 heads, modulation tools, and the third mode features a home made Flanger.
Advanced controls for the tape include speed, hiss, type (vintage or modern), bias, wow and flutter, and various adjustments are available for the reproduction heads.
