[Musikmesse] Waldorf Lector
Lector is based on the Vocoder plug-in which Waldorf created for the TC Electronic Powercore Plattform a few years ago.
This updated version is now available as a native plug-in and received further additions in form of integrated effects (overdrive, chorus, delay and reverb) and sample playback. Like in the Waldorf this Vocoder also has 100 frequency bands. The bands can be modulated with LFO's. Via the VST2 technology Lector can be side-chained via an additional plug-in called Lector Carrier while running the plug-in. With the VST3 technology a direct side-chain is possible. A further new addition is a new so called 'whitening' filter which was especially created to complement vocoder applications. Especially harsh signals should become more subtle and softer with this filter, Waldorf says.
Pricing & Availability
The Plug-In costs €219 and will be available in AU and VST.
